Since moving to IOS 18.2 my Apple Mail has marketedly increased in size!

What's increased? Increased in size how? You've given no details to go on.

File size increased from .6GB to 2.1GB

What file? On my iPad the total storage shown for Mail is 380mb, app+documents and data. I don’t track that but doesn’t seem any different to me from before.

When you go to iPhone storage, my rnail is now 2.1 GB. Up from .6. The documents and data is 2.09.

On my phone Mail is at 116mb total. Again that doesn’t seem like a change. I only use 2 iCloud accounts, no others for mail.

Im using Gmail but I don’t think that matters. Before 18.2 I was using Gmail as well and it was .6.
