since the folks in the ipod forum wont help, i have an ipod question

has anyone else ever had their audio jack stop working? the clickwheel works just fine, and so does everything else. its just the audio jack. it doesnt detect when i unplug the headphones, so it doesnt pause and i cant hear anything


can somebody help please?

Give it a hard blow. It might be clogged up with dirt.

You didn't even give time for people to reply. Your post in the iPod forum was exactly 5 hours prior to this post. I know its hard for you to believe but everyone here has not put their lives on hold and are waiting for you to post so that they can reply.

best case it is dirt
worst case it is because there is a loose connector inside and needs replacement.

i had an old dell digital jukebox break on me like this and it could not be repaired, only replaced.
