What's up guys? I'm someone so used to Tasker in Android. I can't replicate many stuffs that I do with Tasker in Automator.

I would like to create an Automator app which writes the current battery percentage to a text file in the following format:

<serial num> <hh:mm> || <date> = <battery percentage>

Could someone help me with this?

PS: Pardon if I posted in the wrong section.

Hey @kryten2 . Appreciate the info man. As I mentioned about my affection with Tasker. It's all about pre made actions built to Tasker. Though Tasker offers scripting actions, most automations will suffice with inbuilt actions. Even though I've made pretty cool Tasker projects I'm a big ZERO with scripting. Will be so helpful if you can help me with the scripting part.

I found an Apple Communities thread (link) addressing my query partly. Would like to do the same in text file with the format "<serial num> <hh:mm> || <date> = <battery percentage>"

Hi there,

I think you're going to have to dip your toe into the mighty river of scripting to achieve this one, like it or not. Kryten gives you the commands you're going to need to read up on.

Next, read up on setting variables and writing to a file. Then you have all the parts you need to do the job.
