Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/3A110a Safari/419.3)

I bought it yesterday. Its a bit daunting, there is a lot of info and the controls feel kinda strange. I wanna keep at it though

The idea behind the game was to combine a Turn based Strategy game
like Civilization 4 and mash it with a Real-Time Strategy game like
StarCraft, AoE, C&C etc... ... and place the game in space...

the end result? ... its amazing once you spend 2 hours getting to know it.

but dont take my word on it... check out GameSpots Review

Hmm, by the look of it, it's reminding me of Escape Velocity (which is an excellent, excellent game)...

Am I thinking along the right lines, or?

I haven't actually played the game, but from what I've read, I don't think it's really anything like EV... one reason being that EV focused on you controlling a single character.
