I'm not really too sure why but Siri is acting abnormally slow on my new phone, sometimes taking up to 30 seconds to even figure out what I said let alone search it. I'm constantly getting the error where it's having trouble connecting to the network as well.

Does Siri need to pull from Apple's servers to understand text and it's just too overloaded right now? I don't think I should need to call out to a server to tell Siri to do local things like call someone or play a song. The old voice control did that just fine -.-. So is anyone else experiencing this or is it just my phone?

The audio gets pushed to a server to do the parsing of your speech, and then it gets sent back to the phone. Apparently, the servers are down right now :-\.

Siri is VERY disappointing at this point. Barely recognizes what I say and remembers nothing (I.E text wife, tell it who wife is...ask to text wife again and it asks again who my wife is)

Siri is slow on my 4s

Yes, I am experiencing very slow response from sisri on my 4s with Verizon. I find that Voice works very well. I might add slow siri happens when I use bluetooth devices. Headset, automobile, etc.
I am hoping that the software is the culprit. Possibly Apple will have a fix in store.
