Just got back from shop, restored everything to the 4s in under 20 minutes. Very happy.

First thing I go to try is Siri (as other than hardware, it's the only other thing different to my 4). Regardless of what I ask (other than... the horrid male voice says

"...Uh oh, something's wrong. Can you try again?..."

I have no mobile reception, but I am on wifi. Browsing works fine, but not siri. I am assuming it is being blocked by the firewall.

Anybody know what ports it uses?

Cheers

Ben

Same Issue

I am having the same issue in my work place which is behind a firewall. When WiFi is enabled Siri is unable to connect to the network (despite the fact I can surf the web, etc). When I disable WiFi it she works like a Champ!

Also iMessage is getting blocked when using WiFi and trying to send pic/video texts. When WiFi is disabled then it works normally.

Would love to know the website these are trying to access on the backend (or IP and ports)

TIA

Not sure if this helps, but Apple lists these ports that need to be open for Wi-Fi sync. It may be worth a try.

TCP ports 123 and 3689, as well as UDP ports 123 and 5353
