I have found something not right when using Siri. Not sure if this will get fixed or stays like it is.

Yesterday I played a game called League of Legends. During the game I was listening to some music and i wanted to skip this number without having to alt tab. So i asked siri to skip the number. Immediately when i used the command spacebar to issue siri, my fans stopped completely while i was still playing the game. After i closed siri my fans started again and extra hard to compensate.

I understand that the fans introduce some noise which can make it a bit harder for siri to understand words, but to completely shut off the fans while playing a game with increase temperatures is a bit risky if you ask me o_o.

Is this a bug maybe?

I think I read it slows the fans down, not completely off. Maybe submit a ticket to Apple just to make sure they've taken this situation into consideration.

I didn't test if this also exist on my Mac yet, However, if everything work as expected. The risk should be very low.

1) The fan should be just lowered to a level that can hardly hear. No need and no way is completely stopped.

2) The CPU / GPU should be thermal throttled to avoid damaged when the fan can't catch up.

3) since you are using Siri, that means not really playing the game. The gaming performance is not important in that few seconds. So, thermal throttling is not an issue.

Or course, I am not saying that is a good idea. But just don't think the risk / impact is that high (if everything work as expected).
