When trying to make a call via Siri either on the phone or with the airpods a pop-up window comes up where I have to acknowledge the call on my iPhone Xs Max. This doesn´t make sense for a handsfree way of interaction.

Is there an option where I can switch off this for getting the same Siri behaviour like before iOS14?

Strange, it doesn't do that for me and works like it did before.

It only happens when calling the names of the contacts from the address book. When saying the number manually Siri repeats the number and the call starts without pop-up request. Thats really strange.

I´ve searched in the settings but couldn´t find any switch what could be responsible for that. Before the update it was working as it should. Never had those problems before. Rebooting doesn´t bring remedy.

Calling contacts is the primary way I use it and it's been working as it did before, without any additional confirmations being needed. Might be worth playing around with some Siri and/or lock screen settings at least just to see if anything might make a difference (even if it doesn't seem like it would/should directly have an effect on something like that).

The problem still persists and drives me crazy. Meanwhile I tried almost every switch in the settings without success. The Apple Hotline hasn´t heard of this problem yet and the only solution they suggested to me was to reset the device to factory settings, but this can not be serious. Before the update everything runs perfect. I really hope that I´m not the only one with this problem :(
