When I ask Siri to call Kate, Siri then says "Which one: Kate or Katy". Even though she pronounces Kate and Katy differently, she always asks which one - which bugs me!

Is there a way to stop Siri confusing the two?!

You can add a phonetic name to the contact which helps Siri to differentiate between the two.

You might also use their last name and first name. (assuming they are different)

Thanks, I'd rather only use their first names, especially as they're both rather different in spelling and speech! The phonetic field name seems to be working!

Phonic name field is overlooked due to the fact it's not in your face when adding contacts but it does work great

The simple answer is no. When there are similar sounding names, it will give the options. Adding extra info (like last name) is helpful, but doesn't solve the fundamental problem.

How do you add that? I got few names that Siri confuses, so I believe this would help a lot in my case too

Goto the person, tap Edit (top right), scroll to the bottom, tap 'add field', and there you'll find the phonetic first name.
