Friend has to use Siri due to disability. However now when asking say “read my notifications”Siri says ok “you have 4 notifications, mess….” Then a run stops.

Have force restarted, switched Siri off and on and when through setup steps again but still cuts out. Have also set listen to Siri longer in accessibility settings.

This is annoying, and more so frustrating as it’s stopping her using it.

iPhone is an 11, fully up to date 17.1.1. Not sure what else to do.

Hello. Sorry your friend is having issues. Here’s what I would do next..Reset All Settings. What this does..
  • Reset All Settings: All settings—including network settings, the keyboard dictionary, location settings, privacy settings, and Apple Pay cards—are removed or reset to their defaults. No data or media are deleted.

Whenever a built-in iOS feature is not working properly, this is the next logical step in order of troubleshooting (after you have force-restarted, etc). The step is pretty easy and straight forward..settings>general>transfer or reset iphone>reset>Reset All Settings.

Hope this helps!

It’s such a strange issue, showed me today and it’s repeatable.

Another iPhone 11 is fine, and my 15 is fine. We tried similar things and Siri just stops mid way.

I’ll have to go around and try as if resets network I’ll have to type in again
