iPad Pro SIRI Gone Rogue ! What Can I do ?

Hi Guys,

This has been happening even when I was on iOS 13 when asked Siri what time is it ? for whatever the time is it says the following. How do I fix it ?

You can try Reset All Settings. I don't like clicking on unknown links so don't know the details. You could include them in your description though.

For whatever the time is for e.g. if it 10:20 AM it would say it is 10:60 AM. If It is like 6:15 PM it would say 6:60 PM and so on and so forth...

So it just keeps saying 60 to the value after decimal point in time. Hope it makes sense ?
 
Thanks, that does make sense, but what an odd issue, eh? Depending on which region you have set in your Settings > General > Language & Region, you could try a different region to narrow down whether that's the issue (and maybe it's a bug with that region that you can report to Apple). You can also try reset all settings to see if that resolves it.

Changing the region did not help !

I am not too keen on doing Reset. You are talking about Factory Reset right ? Like Taking a Back Up and start afresh ?

No, I'm talking about Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings. That's different than Erase All Content and Settings. You can also reset Network, Keyboard, Home Screen, and Location & Privacy.

I think that’s great advice and resetting settings on the device would be my next step for sure.

Hmm. I guess resetting all settings can work but I think I have a different solution. If you try going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings that might work. This stops you from resetting your data.

I’m sorry thought you were literally advising to erase and restore. Now I t sounds like you just want to reset iPad settings. These are totally different troubleshooting steps but of course both logically located in Settings - General - Reset. Which of the two is it going to be?

No I have not been able to fix it. I haven't thought of resetting it. I certainly do not want to Erase and Restore at this point in time. On the Only Reset Network Settings. Just trying to still figure out what repercussions it could have on the settings ? And generally on the iPad Functioning ?

@augustya nope. apple, pretty sure, does it as-well when you use their support feature. Pretty sure, not certain, that when you press "request agent"/the support 'button' you have to agree to terms.. in the terms are the disclaimer.
