Long time listener here, first time caller. Years ago I learned all about how you can teach Siri how to pronounce names correctly by saying "Hey Siri, that's not how you say [person's name]" and then following the prompts to learn a name. When iOS 12 came out, many of the times when Siri says a name are now back to being mispronounced. Sometimes Siri uses the pronunciations correctly but many times it does not. I have tried re-teaching the pronunciations, but the same thing happens. I had hoped that a subsequent update to iOS 12 would address the issue, but even today's release has not fixed it.

Anyone else having this issue?

Yup, hit this all the time with CarPlay. Reported it via Feedback during a beta, hasn’t been fixed yet. :-(

iOS 12.2 also did not fix this bug. It surprises me that considering how important a service Siri is for Apple that they haven’t concentrated on fixing bugs like this. Especially seeing how far behind the other digital assistants Siri now lags.
