Hi guys,

Since iOS 18, I have found that Siri is absolutely horrible. Where it previously recognized my voice (and not others), it now recognizes anyone and anything that says "Siri" or something similar. It also doesn't really follow my instructions well anymore either. "Hey Siri, next song" often brings up the Siri interface and then just closes it.

Has anyone else noticed issues since iOS 18?

Cheers

I've not had issues with it activating too frequently. Try changing the setting so it only responds to "Hey Siri" and not "Siri" as well, and/or relearn your voice.

However, Siri popping up and deciding it's too lazy to do anything, and immediately closing ... yep, that's started happening since iOS 18. It's got much better in 18.1 beta though.

Sure, I noticed it, but Apple has conditioned me to expect it at this point. HecK, I still remember the days when Apple was synonymous with quality. 🤌🏼

Yeah, I did try change that setting and re-training it but yeah, it's been a pretty poor experience.

Yeah, it's unfortunate. I hope they fix it (and other things) soon.
