Hi All,

Siri seems to be goosed on my iPhone 6. Just wondered has anyone else encountered the same issue?

- Siri doesn't seem to pick up my voice when talking directly into the phone
- Siri works fine when using the apple earphone/mic & Bluetooth mic in my car is fine too
- Microphone on the phone itself seems to be fine as no issues when using the phone for calls (also tested speakerphone). Voice memos work fine when talking into the phone
- Turned Siri & dictation off/on and rebooted but no joy
- Haven't restored the phone yet - would like to avoid if possible
- Upgraded to 8.4 today but no change

Any ideas?

Try record video using front facing camera, see if it can record audio properly or just static noise.
If the video you just recorded has not clear audio but static noise.

Your iPhone's back microphone module is dead. Book a genius bar.

Thanks for the reply. Just tried recording videos via both front & back cameras and audio is perfect on both of them.

I'm having the same issue. I'm currently running the iOS 9 GM seed, but I've also tried with 8.4.1. Has anyone had any luck fixing this?

I ended up sending mine back to Apple & they issued me with a new phone - couldn't get to the bottom of it!
