Siri makes no sound

Upgrading to Catalina and know when I click the Siri icon at the top right hand corner of my screen I no longer hear the beep sound. What happened?

Still makes no sound. It only talks to me when I ask a question.

Same for me - no initial beep but reponds to questions just fine.

This must be a bug in Catalina 10.15.1. I just tested my iMac and no sound either. I know for a fact it worked on 10.15.0.

Edit: Just submitted feedback to Apple.
