Siri, Music App, Reminders land Apple in court... again.

New day, new court case in the on-going patent battles. Motorola has filed a new suit with the ITC (and is still fighting an on going case for their FRAND patents, set for a final decision on the 24th). This time however, they are not claiming infringement of FRAND patents, but just technology patents :

Complaint not yet available to review which patents they are claiming infringement on and what the scope of these patents are.

Google going after Apple on patents

I can't say this comes as a surprise...seems like they bought Motorola mobility for the sole purpose of grabbing those patents so they could go after Apple. As I said before, I think Apple really opened a can of worms by starting a patent war...they aren't exactly innocent themselves. But in the end I just see the judges throwing it out in a wash and letting them compete in the marketplace. The only ones who will win are the lawyers.

Apple is going to start getting hit with Lawsuits , and I don't feel sorry for them, they started all of this.

Google actually has more cash on hand based on their size of stock holders. I think Google has close to 60billion dollars in cash.

Its the same way with any of these companies, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Samsung. They just don't care about these amounts of money.

It is about damn time Google really got involved. Hopefully they will use this as a weapon to force Apple to back off suing with its crapents.

Lets see Google has valid patents and Apple has been using them for years. Apple has a bunch of crapents that should of never been granted in the first place and have been losing cases left and right. This could be Googles way of forcing Apple to back off.

Currently Apple is the worlds largest patent troll. Apple opened the can of worms and I for one would love to see Apple get the smack down just so they stop with the crapent law suits.
Apple blocks truly open standard. They are hurting HTML5 adoption with refusing to use a truly open source and free video codex and so on. Mind you all that does is make safari even less relevent on the web as they are the ONLY major browser that will not work with the open video codex.

Currently 20+% of web users can not use that close h.254 for video for html5. Compared to only 5% that can not use the free one.

Did I say Apple sued Google? Google are suing Apple Through Motorola which is a recent acquisition, why didn't Motorola sue Apple before Google bought them?

Do you mean H264? which Chome and Firefox support?

Because Google doesn't sell Andriod software. It is the same reason Microsoft goes after Andriod manufacturer instead of Google because it doesn't sell Android on patent war.
