Ever since I purchased my HomePod Mini's for the living room (left & right setup), "hey Siri" will NOT work on my iPhone when I'm home. The screen lights up for a second and then turns off, Siri never responds to anything. I know it has something to do with the HomePod Mini's and I can't figure out what the issue is. When I'm not home, it works fine.

Thanks

It's not a bug, it's a feature! ;)

When multiple devices hear "Hey Siri", they communicate with each other to decide who will answer. That's why your iPhone screen lights up for a second - the HomePod Mini has been elected to respond. (This is even more fun if you also have an iPad set up to respond to "Hey Siri.")

I've noticed that my HomePod Mini is ridiculously sensitive, and will try to answer the request, even if I'm so far away I can only barely hear its response. If you want to force your iPhone to be the responding device, you can lift it up before saying "Hey Siri". You could also disable "Hey Siri" on the HomePod.

Open the Home app, find your HomePod, then touch and hold its icon.
Scroll down, tap the Settings icon at the bottom right of the screen. Scroll down to the Siri options and make sure Listen for "Hey Siri" is turned on.
Tap the Close button, then follow the on-screen instructions.
Hope that helps!
