I use my iPhone mainly for the GPC capability.
The last 2 times I tried to use it I went to Maps and using Siri as usual asked for directions.
I got no reply, that Siri can't connect.
Is this as Apple isse, a phone issue or my AT&T phone service issue?
Thanks

I get the Siri not working when my mobile data stops working on my XS, which in my case seems to be the modem on the XS which have problems.
But when this happens to me then also the internet is not working on the phone, meaning no web browsing and no apps that require internet are working.
Phone calls and texts still works fine at that point though.

Is the problem with AT&T, would switching to another carrier help?
Or does this mean that suddenly my phone has a problem and needs to be replaced?

Well i guess it can be something else in your case. To start with does your phones mobile data internet connection work when Siri is not working (not wifi)?

And which iPhone model do you have?

I have a 6s. I checked and internet working fine. Someone on the Apple forum said to check the mute switch on the left and for some reason it was on, when I turned it off the volume was all the way down. I increased it and now I can hear Siri again.
The only other issue I need to test is to see if Siri stops falling out on me while driving. I am only getting 2 bars on AT&T, maybe I need to switch to another carrier?

Yeah then it wasn't my problem fortunately.

That can be easily checked by trying a SIM card from another carrier at the same location and see if the signal is better with the other carrier.
Otherwise try the "reset network settings" on the iPhone and see if that helps.

Thanks, I did the reset network settings when trying to get Siri to work.
I'll go to the Verizon Store like you suggested and see if there's a difference.
I wonder if the case is an issue, although everyone has a protective case it seems.

OK, Siri stopped talking to me again even with mute off.
It is also dying out again. When I click on settings for siri and search it just freezes there.
The person at the AT&T store said she's seen a lot of problems with the 6s after the latest iOS update, I'm on the phone with Apple Support right now
