When I ask Siri to set an alarm, the pop up on the screen shows the correct time I asked for but Siri announces it as an hour later.

For example I as for a 6pm alarm and the screen shows an alarm 18:00 but Siri says “alarm set for 17:00

is this happening to anyone else?

Since buying this phone over a year ago a Siri has had other issues -

Sometimes it doesn’t respond to “hey Siri”
Sometimes it acknowledges the “hey Siri” but doesn’t respond to the request I make
Sometimes it says “working on it” when I stay quiet after saying “hey Siri”
Sometimes it has not set a timer that I requested even after saying “timer set for…”

When you hear "working on it" "On it!" "Just a moment". That is due to poor network connection. It can be very frustrating due to how network dependent Siri is.

Do you have all your location services turned on, including the ones under System? In settings is Time and Date set to automatic?

Like mentioned, Siri is network based so it could be server side....

Thanks for responding.

The date and time is automatic.

I knew Siri was internet dependent but I didn’t think it and that could explain some of the more recent issues.

However some of the issue existed before I moved here and I previously had very dependable access to the internet.

It could be server issues on their end when she's not responding. I have a terrible habit of using Siri when I get in my truck after work. My iPhone is still connected to Wifi but its virtually unusable.

You said you moved? Was the place you moved from an hour different?

If so goto iCloud.com, click on your name in the upper right. Click Account Settings. On the top row just right of center you will see....

Maybe thats it? Grabbing at straws.

I've seen this before. I'd ask Siri to set an alarm for 6AM, the alarm would be set correctly, but Siri was say the alarm was set for 7PM. It fixed itself after a while. This happened after I'd traveled through a lot of time zones. I think it had something to do with my travels.

Same time zone but rural - the WiFi is spotty when it comes to TV but has been okay when it comes to my iPhone.

As I am on the subject - I live on the estate where I work and it is a public WiFi so although AppleTV can connect I cannot use any streaming. Even the App Store.

I have tried Mac spoofing but it doesn’t work for me.

Any suggestions?

Same time zone here though - unless Siri knows something I don’t ;)

it just seems to have happened.

I started a case with Apple Support but I work a nightshift and just find the time to get back to them.
