Has anyone noticed Siri responding randomly lately even though you didn’t say “hey Siri”? This is happening to me at least once a day now where I’ll randomly hear Siri in my pocket saying “sorry I didn’t get that” or something. I never had this problem before. iPhone 13 Pro

Normally that happens if you say a phrase that contains sounds that are similar to "Hey Siri". Is this happening while you are talking?

Not that I’ve noticed. I suppose it could be coincidence, I just thought it odd that it’s never been an issue before but now it’s happening every day.

It's definitely not an every day occurrence with me. Maybe a few times a month if that. I also didn't think the Hey Siri function is supposed to work if you have your phone in your pocket or in a holster, so that's strange too.

Yes, I have. made me switch off Siri because it became really annoying.

I once had Siri activate from something someone said in a podcast I was listening to in my car. That was funny.

I have also learned when my co-worker Sarah phones, I shouldn't say "Hi Sarah" when I pick up....

Could something in your pocket be holding down the lock button activating Siri?
Oh man I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of that. I will definitely pay close attention to that and see if that’s causing it.

Siri gets triggered so easily that I had to turn it off.

Just a simple ‘hey’ would trigger it, or something on tv like “are you serious” would trigger it.

NBA games used to advertise getting scores with ‘just ask hey Siri’ but they have since removed the ‘hey’ part

This is hilarious…when I have my APP’s on, I literally have to shout “hey Siri” to activate it to do something lol. Wish I could trigger Siri so easily without random strangers giving me funny looks thinking I’m crazy for shouting out “hey Siri”
