Hi!

I'm trying to understand how siri shortcuts works, especially automate actions. I'm wondering if its possible to do a specific action when you close an app? Because I know you can do actions when you open a specific app, but I want to be able to revert those actions when I close the app.

For exemple, if I want to enable invert colours when I open a specific app, is there a way to also automatically turning it off when I close the app?

Thanks!

Play around with it. If it’s not there, then it’s probably not an option. You won’t break anything. Just delete the Shortcut if it’s not what you were intending to accomplish. I learned Shortcuts by playing around with it.

No. Currently there is no way to use closing an app as a means of triggering a shortcut. For one, most apps don't "close" in iOS once opened, unless you force quit them. Since that is not encouraged, I don't see Apple adding that as a trigger. But I agree with the other poster here: play with it and see if there is a proxy for "closing" an app that might be a good substitute trigger. I'm hoping that in the next version of Shortcuts there will be triggers for changing focus (i.e., moving from one app to another or to the homescreeen). That would accomplish what you are speaking of, I think.
