Siri suddenly changed to a male voice

Hi everyone,

I just noticed that Siri has a male voice. I’ve been using the female Siri voice for years and am completely certain that I didn’t manually change the Siri voice in the settings. I could change it back to the female voice luckily but I’m just wondering what could have caused this.

The default is now a male voice, so the likely reason is you never picked anything but the default so there was no preference saved.

Now that the default is the male voice, it changed for you. Once you change it, it should stick.

Interesting, thanks. Still a bit strange because I use Siri daily and I updated to 14.5/14.5.1 right away so it’s strange that it only switched today. Maybe a small bug.
