You ever see Siri give a response that's totally off and not even explainable? I asked Siri to call "Dr. Tartibi", so I can understand how it managed to mangle that and come up with "Dr. Turk TV", but I've got no clue how it went from there to Katie Adams. I double checked her contact and it's literally just the name Katie Adams and a phone number. Nothing else that might have lead Siri to believe I would have wanted to talk to her.

Next time don't talk to her with food in your mouth :p

In that case, I stand corrected.

:) its like saying "I'm not a person of color" - its just a layman's term which doesn't mean anything. white people are not white and black people are not black. whites are pinkish/mildly brownish and black people are dark-brownish. Everyone is a person of color :)

no...

I asked about the weather and found strange Vedda people which i have never heard until Siri showed them to me :D im quite sure my english is not that bad... Is there way to train Siri for names? Siri wants me to pronounce names in english when trying to make a call to somebody and oh boy, that sounds so artificial.

Siri doesn't understand my accent because I live in the US but I'm Cuban Irish born in Galway. So she's expecting American speech patterns and doesn't get me.
It's quite frustrating. I've given up.
Its not just you. Siri was great until iOS 9, now it's just garbage.

Siri has never had trouble with my accent until iOS 9. Is there any way we can better train Siri on an iPhone 6

I dont think discussion of accents and how well Siri understands what you said is exactly what this is about

OP accepts Siri misheard but wonders how it can go from dr Turk tv to Katie Adams

my only guess which is a stretch is that Apple couldn't find anything meaningful with that and put it through another phonetic search (things that sound similar) and that was a close enough match to suggest it. at a stretch, TV (and -tibi) sounds a bit like Katie. then it found a Katie in your contacts.
