Back when iOS 14.5 came out, I attempted to make Overcast my preferred podcast player for Siri. But somehow I ended up making it the preferred music player, so when I say “Hey Siri, play some Beatles,” it says “Sorry, you’ll need to continue in Overcast.” I know there aren’t any visible settings for this association but is there a trick to resetting it?

try saying “Hey Siri, play some Beatles in Apple Music”. Supposedly, if you do that a few times, Siri will "learn".

Of course, I'm having trouble where Siri keeps asking me which app to play music in. Why can't we just set this in Settings and be done with it? Apple may think that the current method is more automatic but it removes control from the user.

Thanks! I tried that once or twice but maybe didn't do it enough. Anyway, I eventually Reset All Settings, which took care of it but it's a pain to put everything back the way it was.
