One feature I’ve grown fond of is asking Siri to restart my iPhone. That worked up until this afternoon when I updated iOS17. Now when I ask her to restart my phone, I get the following message.”Sorry, I can’t help you with that here.”

I have no idea what that means or if there’s something that I need to do to get this to be a feature once again. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

In case anybody is having this issue, I needed to do the Siri voice recognition set up. I forgot I had skipped that while I was setting up the phone. Restarting now works.

Oh wow, didn’t know you could restart your phone with Siri. Thought Apple had that blocked.

I’m having this issue as well. Unfortunately I don’t see an option to redo Siri voice recognition. 🤔

Go to Settings > Siri and Search > Tap on Listen for Siri or Hey Siri > Tap on off; Exit settings (might not be necessary) or restart the phone. Then go back thru the steps and tap on Siri or Hey Siri to turn it back on and it should prompt you to do the training again. It did for me, anyway. Hope this helps
