I had subscribed to apple music and now canceled, but Siri won't play my downloaded music. It keeps doing radio stations with the artist. I turned apple music and library off.

Anyone know why Siri isn't playing my physically downloaded songs anymore.
[doublepost=1530723389][/doublepost]Is it because my subscription is active for a month still?

It's super annoying
[doublepost=1530724863][/doublepost]If I ask Siri to play a specific song it plays a different version. Not the ones downloaded to my phone? Why is it playing iCloud songs instead of the physical downloaded songs.

If you haven’t purchased those songs then you don’t own them. When you cancel Apple Music, the DRM protection kicks in and your access from being able to listen to those music is revoked.

I do own the music. I added apple music for a day to try it and then cancelled it.

Now when I ask Siri to play music from my phone in my car. It says "uhoh I don't have celular data on or something" but the songs are physically on my phone.

Does this have something to do with my apple music trial still being on
[doublepost=1530737030][/doublepost]Do I need to have cellular data on under music and have the download tab also on?

Is that the only way siri can play music when not on wifi? I don't remember if I ever had it on before.
[doublepost=1530737212][/doublepost]Okay so I put the cellular tab on and the download tab on. Siri still won't play songs when I ask it off WiFi. WTF. Apple music ****ed all this up.

Siri needs data connection to query back to Apple server to transcode your voice and understand the command.

check your PM's. okay under the music tab. i toggled cellular on and also downloads, but it won't play songs that are on my actual phone. it says "uh oh you need cellular data" once i toggle on the "streaming tab" then it works, but it play music off apple music streaming.

I already have apple music toggled off and icloud library, so i don't get it.
[doublepost=1530742783][/doublepost]I think the iphone still thinks i have apple music., so ill have to wait the month for subscription to end. I have 72gb of music in my downloaded music section, so keeping cellular data on and the download toggle should play those songs, but it doesn't. it only lets me play streaming music.

I just restored the iphone and same thing. it still won't play my "downloaded songs" if i ask siri... my apple music is turned off,but the trial only ends august 3rd, so i'll have to wait until then.

Well, if you already have the subscription active then why toggle it off?! That technically means that you do have Apple Music and Siri is trying to get a better version of the song.

Cause Apple music was uploading different versions and messing up my library. I rather just remove it. But I see no way to do that.

It is on my phone, but siri won't play it, saysi need cellular but then it play streaming if i toggle cellular on. Its cause of the damn apple music.

I think everything will start working the way you expect once your Apple Music subscription expires.
