For some reason since i got the new i4s i have tried siri to get weather information and the error i get is " i am not able to get weather information right now". I am not sure if this issue is only with my phone or is it a common error?

No Siri outage that I'm noticing today. To OP: Siri uses the built-in weather app on the iPhone (The one powered by Yahoo) - Open that app and see if it's able to provide you with weather info for your location. That would probably be step 1.

try and say your city or current location

try and ask Siri the weather in your location. like in example;

"what's the weather for San Francisco today"
"does it look like its gonna rain in San Francisco today"

I find sometimes she "chokes" on some location based questions. the other day I was deep inside a residential warehouse district and she was having troubles finding food or gas locations. but then I tried asking with the current location in my question and she got it each time.

might wanna keep you wifi toggled on. it is noted for geobased reminders work better with that toggled on. maybe it's the same with Siri and geobased questions.

hope that helps.

You must have your local weather turn off. There's an option to turn on local weather in Apple weather app. Siri uses your local weather if you ask her what's the weather without specifying city.
