Is there any way around sites recognizing the ipad safari as a mobile browser? Google Reader loads up the mobile version and I know I have run into another site as well.

It all depends on the site. Some let you go and others don't. You're basically using an oversized iPod touch and so most sites don't recognize that

It drives me absolutely nuts when website FORCE their mobile version on me when I'm using my iPhone. So, in response, I stop using those sites. Permanently. (Or until I hear they've stopped forcing the mobile version on iPhones.)

The iPhone and iPad are NOT a Blackberry or Nokia. Those websites can stick their mobile versions up their tush!

Reader and Docs still have problems even after you override the mobile settfings. If you try to edit a Docs file, it won't let you. Goes to the mobile document display every time. In Reader the panes don't scroll. Unfortunately I don't thing Google really cares. I'm looking for alternatives to Google.
