Sitting here in a parking lot with my iPad and Palm Pre Plus mobile hotspot...

I have to say this is awesome! I'm on my way to my mothers in PA and figured I'd check out how well this works on my mobile hotspot with my Palm Pre. I'm sitting here in a Wawa parking lot in my car with my iPad in it's case sitting on my lap.

I picked my iPad up this morning and so far I am loving it. It's not going to replace my laptop, but I could definitely see where it will be used a lot more. This will be handy on the road. I'll be posting more later, I'm just getting a kick out of this.

Yeah, I opted for a non-3g model because I can turn my android phone into a mobile hotspot.. saves me $30 a month not having to buy the ipad plan too.

Works perfect for me, too. Only issue is that my phone dies very fast when tethering is enabled :/

Which tether app are you using on android? My battery barely moves with up to a couple hours of wifi tethering using that native wifi tether that you can push to the phone after you root.
