It's a fun app, and very occassionally useful. Great UI and selection of tools.

If it weren't for the fact that I even fail at drawing stick figures I might try this!:D

This is hands down the best drawing app out there. It uses the exact same engine as their desktop product which is thousands of dollars. For $3 it is an absolute steal. I'm not an artist or designer at all, but this app is great even for very casual doodlers like me.

Just downloaded the free version and wow, this looks nice. Blows other sketch apps away. Quick question, what seems to be the difference b/w the free and paid versions?

Canvas size, merge layers and output I think. However my question is why are all iPhones limited to a smaller canvas size except the 3GS? That makes little sense to me outside the possible processing power required.

So basically for the casual doodlers, there is no reason to buy the full version? I used the free version and thought it was awesome. Just using the strokes make anything look awesome, no matter how bad you are at drawing.

So worth it?

Flickr group for Sketchbook mobile. Amazing what you can do with this if you have some artistic talent.

that is pretty impressive

I work in manhattan, and in the times square area we have a number of "street" artists that sketch people's faces for money. I can totally see some enterprising young artist doing digital sketches on the iphone and emailing the final product to the buyer or printing it out right there.

This is what you see when you do something and they ask if you want the full version.

That would be pretty cool. :)

Those pieces posted on Flickr are incredible. This is a super powerful app and could easily sell for $9.99.
