Sketchup on new aluminum MacBooks

I was very disappointed with the performance of SketchUp on the MacBook (2ghz white macbook). I was wondering if the new MacBook (aluminum) could handle SketchUp. Has anyone used SketchUp yet on their new MacBooks ? I am considering either getting a new MacBook or a previous gen MacBook Pro. To clarify, the white MacBook "runs" SketchUp fine, but if the model develops any complexity lines start dropping out and the model becomes quite heavy on the machine. ( I have done lots of trouble shooting, and have concluded via many forums etc.. the integrated graphics on the previous versions of macbook are not robust enough to handle the application.. )

I am not completely sure... do you have the 2ghz with the x3100 or the older 9 something g graphics?

the x3100 was a bit better for me.... but i see your problem. The new graphics are supposed to be much better so maybe you'll be fine.

I know, i'm sorta useless, but i'm curious about this too, as I will be rendering a lot more in the near future when i upgrade.

i'd like to know too. sketchup brings my imac with x1600 to a crawl when working with more detailed models, and i'm definitely getting a macbook to replace it (imac has a faulty logic board), so here's hoping it'll be better
