I just googled skin guard for the new macbook, and it seems like SGP's pretty much the only company out there selling it. Has anyone else ever used their skin guards???

http://www.sgpstore.com/laptop/appl...k-air-2010-product-skin-guard-set-series.html

I'm thinking about putting on one of these skinguards and carrying it around in my old sleeve.. should protect it pretty good. i don't want it to get all scratched up.

From what I gather the new air is slightly different. So we can't get 2010 skins. Anyone know this to be false?

The Decalgirl ones are really nice, but don't have the apple cutout (saw this stated somewhere on their website). I think I would prefer a skin that has this feature.

Wrapsol ultra isn't available. Wrapsol original is.

Gotcha/

Just a heads up, it can be found cheaper via amazon, and BSE is also cheaper. If the old macbook air skins fit - That opens a lot of options, however this and BSE seem to be the least expensive.. but again, you can save a couple bucks from a marketplace seller on amazon..

$8 to ship a skin is ridiculous imo.

I really don't care too much for the Apple Cutout, but if you want one, it seems like you gotta go with a simple, plain design like SGP's skin guards. A funky design with the apple cutout wouldn't look all that nice.:)

Darn ..already pulled the trigger. I've seen the matte skin finish in person and it is beautiful. Orange peel and glossy ones just don't appeal to me I guess.

Is that the 'original' wet install they sell. I assume it's the only one they offer?

I'm considering this or BSE. BSE is a great company but I am concerned about their skins lately tbh.

edit - I ordered the wrapsol from amazon.. just under $32 shipped fwiw. Just make sure you use the right part number if you want to get it.

I used an iCarbon on my old 13 inch and it's a dry install that comes out very well due to the quality on the 3M vinyl skin. It is a design skin, but no air bubbles and it follows contours well. Best is that it's hard to peel off, or even start to make it peel.

I used phantomskinz. I always get the matte finish as I think it looks the best on the aluminum. IMO I it's a lot better quality over wrapsol.

I've used the Zagg invisible shield on my 2010's, just ordered a new one for my 2011....offers great protection and only drawback is it is a bit shiny...other than that though, looks great...

X2...no water, no bubbles...almost as thick as a playing card...looks super cool if you like CF.....I do.
