I can’t bring myself to use my MK directly on a hard or potentially dirty surface. I’ve been just using it sitting on top of a thin magazine either on the table or my desk (in my lap I don’t mind of course because it’s sitting on my sweatpants).

I’m not sure I wanna do a full set of skins, but is there something I could do on just the bottom to protect it?

I’ve purchased a magic keyboard skin from Sopiguard and it’s been working great so far. Had it for about a week and I don’t worry about the surface I use my keyboard on anymore. I specifically puchased the brushed black skin and it adds a unique aesthetic to the case which I’ve grown to appreciate more and more. It also slides more easily on surfaces which can be a good or bad thing.

SopiGuard Skins. Plenty of options. There’s a couple threads on here that you can peek at peoples applied skins too.

So ssledoux did say " I’m not sure I wanna do a full set of skins "..........

1. Pad&Quill are doing some nice cases for the AMK. Yes a case for a case.

2. If this is too overkill you could consider some stick on laptop style feet to raise the AMK of flat surfaces.

3. If this is not enough coverage then a thin slip wallet that you could place under the AMK when using the ipad. Then you also have some extra protection when transporting. Win win. This is the option I'm personally considering.

I'm hoping there's more suggestions. I really don't like the idea of wrecking the poor finish of the AMK when it cost so much. The skin approach is an easy fix but there is doubt regarding removal later and if it may ruin the finish on the AMK as the glue may bond with the cover.
