Skype - Are they going to update?

Why hasn't Skype updated their app yet so it can run in the background of iOS 4? Is it possible they are trying to implement the things Fring did like the video calling to other iPhone users and desktop/laptop users?

They announced an update a while ago, but nothing since:

To be honest, I'm starting to wonder if they are waiting until they can start charging for 3G calling. The app's been warning about that for a while now.

How long did we all wait for VoIP over 3G?

Face it, the Skype iPhone app is a low priority to Skype and it shows in their time tables.

When it does get released, hope it doesn't have any serious bugs.
