I have been trying out the new Skype application and I have found it to have one very annoying feature. When I lock my phone after starting a call (so i can stick it in my pocket without fear of clicking anything), the call is automatically put on hold. Does anyone know how to disable this?

Also, does anyone know if the iPhone will lock automatically (like it normally does) during skype call? If this is true, then calls would be automatically put on hold after your lock screen timeout period.

why when you are on a call do you put it in your pocket?
the app automatically turns the screen off when placed in your ear..

I have the same problem as OP. I am often on long teleconference calls and like to use Skype since calls to 1-800 numbers are free. During these long calls I will use the headphones w/ microphone so my hands are free to take notes or do other things. Without a way to lock the screen when I place the phone in my pocket there is a possibility I will either un-mute myself (leading to potentially embarrassing situations) or hang up. I am consistently disappointed with the Skype user interface on their desktop software and am sad to learn their iPhone app is no different. They have blatantly disregarding standard user interface practice with respect to locking the screen. Hopefully they will remedy this in the future but judging by their history of performance I sincerely doubt it.
