Hey!

So, I'm thinking about getting Skype to cut down on my minute package through AT&T. Before I do it, I have a few questions:

1. Am I able to get incoming calls if the app is closed? If not, is there a push notification that I am receiving a call so I can open the app and take the call?

2. If I go from wifi to 3G, what happens to my call?

3. Is Skype really worth it?

4. What is the best app to use for Skype, and only Skype?

Thanks,

Mark

It's free unless you load one of their packages, works well for skype to skype calls that way. You need to have it open to get calls on it. It only works over wi-fi so I assume if you went from wi-fi to 3G, the call would disconnect.

If you use fring you will get a pushed notification saying someone tried to call you, but you'll have to call them back. The offical skype app hasn't updated their app with push yet.

If you jailbreak you can use 3G to make calls

I can't answer that it depends on how often you talk on the phone. I could see it as an inconvenience if you receive calls a lot.

Again depends on your needs i have only used fring and the skype app. I have fring keep me logged in then when someone calls me I switch to the skype app to talk to them.
