skype video camera ipad?

Is there anyway to connect a external camera and do video skype calls through the ipad?
Or is this more a thing for the iphone 4gs?

It is theoretically possible, but not easy to develop, and as such no company has done it yet. They would need the hardware/software solution to work aslo, and skype does not currently support video conferencing in it's iPhone app.
