Hey guys,

I've seen threads all around the internet where people don't believe Skyrim can be played on a lower-end Macbook Pro (with integrated graphics), so I decided to make a gameplay video showing that it can in fact run fairly well (though at lower settings).

So, here's a vid of gameplay footage for those who are wondering how this game runs w/integrated graphics.

Check it out.

does that mean it would work on the air???? how much ram does it havE?

I've run it on my Air (2011 4GB 11in), just like the linked video. It's playable, but no where near ideal. It all really depends on what your tolerance level is. If you're considering playing it on the Air to begin with, then you know what you're walking into.

Would you say that the Air's quality is about on par with what you see in the video?

People have played on HD3000 Macbook Pros and Macbook Air using the unofficial Cider port... in Mac OS X and said it was playable with lower settings. I have no doubt it would run slightly faster in Windows, so it should be playable.

Seeing this makes me wonder how it would perform on a Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro like my 13" with the Nvidia 320m. My guess would be about on par. I could hear your fan kick in overdrive only seconds after launching.

My major concern would be heat during a longer session and how hot the system really gets. I know Windows bootcamped on a Mac doesn't have the the overall system management to keep things as silent as possible. I know when gaming on my older 13" MBP, when that fan kicks on, it sounds like a miniature Dyson vacuum cleaner.

I am enjoying the game thus far on my PS3, but many games that I sold on the PS3 and picked up the same for my Mac look worlds better due to higher resolution textures and overall screen resolution as well.

One such example is COD4, far more detail and when using my ACD, running at native resolution is far less than ideal but on the built-in LCD @ 1280x800 still looks wonderful and is quite fast thanks to the Nvidia hardware. I just wish I could drop in a processor upgrade like the early black PowerBook G3 Wallstreet and Pismo revisions.

Back on topic, has anyone gotten a great experience running Skyrim on the 15" current models.
