Long story short. Jammed the sleep button on my still functional iPhone. I was wondering is there anyway to write a program which when you touched the icon, it would put the phone to sleep?

there is app to restart springboard, don't remember exact name but respring or something. Touch the icon and it gets u to 'slide to unlock' screen. Then screen will sleep in a sec.

Hmmm... I installed it and it seems to be messed up? I hit the respring icon and it just says restarting springboard on a black screen and seems to freeze...

I tryed to uninstall, and then re-install with the same result...

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance again...

Sorry it didn't work out. What fw version do you have? Mine is 1.1.4 and it's working fine. Again it's called Respring and red icon with spring on it. When u touch it, it shows "Restarting the springboard..." on black screen and it goes to slide to unlock screen after 3~4 sec for mine.
