I have iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. I just set up a sleep schedule in the Heath app on my iPhone and right now I am in my wind-down time (U.K. time zone) so my AW screen is totally black, my iPhone screen dimmed out with a wind-down message on it, but here I am potentially doing whatever I want on my iPad and all devices are on the same AppleID. Did I miss a setting (I did look) or does the Sleep functionality somehow not include the iPad? As my sofa-surfing device my iPad is my biggest distraction late at night, as this post I think demonstrates, so if what I suspect is true that seems a huge omission to me.

I don't think it includes the iPad.

Thanks. I can see why most of the Sleep functionality doesn't make sense on an iPad but the winding-down bit would be really valuable since that's supposed to discourage you from using your devices in the runup to bedtime by dimming screens, putting up messages etc. Not the end of the world but I'm a bit surprised Apple didn't also allow the winding-down period to also be able to "quieten" a users iPad as well. I can't do it myself with shortcuts because the iPad Shortcuts system doesn't have access to any sleep trigger events. I could do it on a simple timer but then I'd have to make sure I kept that aligned with my sleep schedule so it's not quite as elegant.

There is a certain „independence“ of the iPad vs. iPhone/Watch. I always go mad when I can’t use the iPhone-DND-mode automatically on the iPad or use the battery widget on the iPad to see the battery of my iPhone, let alone ask Siri and get an answer!

Yeah. Those are other great examples of where joining at least a few of the dots between iPad and iPhone (& hence Apple Watch) would be nice. Now that I have an Apple Watch putting far more data into my Health app it would also be nice to be able to browse that Health data on my bigger iPad screen rather than having to reach for my iPhone when I already have my iPad in my hands.
