So yes, I've done a Mroogle, and I've found some information, but many of the problems I read about weren't similar to mine and little information was presented. I figured it would be best to make a dedicated thread for information to gather and for people to come to if they have a similar issue with sleep mode. (It seems to be a reasonably common issue, though they might not always be the same issue.) That means it isn't just about my problem, though I obviously want help, haha.
MY problem:
When my Mac Pro wakes up after having slept for over 20-30 minutes, my desktop pops up normally, but as soon as I click on an app, it bounces up, down, then stops bouncing. Sometimes an app like Address Book will actually launch while others don't. Every time a hard reset is necessary.
I have an OWC Mercury Pro SSD installed as my boot, I was thinking it might have something to do with the drive not properly waking from sleep? I still have the factory drive, and I've been thinking about reinstalling the OS on that and testing.
