when i turn the PB on both screens are active. when i close the PB only the monitor is on. the problem is how do i put the PB to sleep? everytime i put it on sleep the computer wakes right back up and both screens are on again. can you put the comuter to sleep while connected to a monitor?

are you using bluetooth peripherals? if you have any bluetooth input device running, they could be causing your computer to wake back up. try checking the bluetooth settings in the system profiler and deselecting the 'allow bluetooth devices to wake this computer' checkbox.
