I have a powerbook that all of a sudden has developed sleep issues. I have dealt with this a lot on my iMac so know all the PRAM resets etc, but can't figure out the Powerbook.

Screen will go blank and light come on but no flashing and hard drives don't spin down. I did a system restore with the factory discs and that fixed things for two days and then it started acting up again. I have dl'd all the latest software updates, reset the CMU, PRAM and repaired permissions. No peripherals are attached.

HELP!!!! this is driving me crazy

Does this happen in the middle of you doing something? Unlike the iMac, the PowerBook's screen will go to sleep before the machine does, by default. Does pressing a random key bring everything back promptly?
