Running 2020 intel MacBook Pro as laptop - no external screen etc. I've noticed my MacBook doesn't enter deep sleep (or whatever the terminology is). In Ventura if I went to battery settings I could see gaps in the green bars where the Mac had slept. In Sonoma green bars have no gaps - i.e. I leave laptop closed and although battery doesn't drain to much, it is not entering deep sleep. You can see screenshot here that it enters sleep and showing TCP Keep alive. Any ideas how it can enter deep sleep?

Thanks

For a start turn off tcpkeepalive with sudo pmset -b tcpkeepalive 0
I assume you have already used System Settings to turn off Power Nap, etc.

power nap off etc.

I've never had to turn off tcpkeepalive before. Its been set to 1 in earlier versions of macOS and no problem with sleep...could it be a settling in period?

Was tcpkeepalive 1 or 0 when those wakes were happening?

What is the output from pmset -g? Preferably as black on white text - your screenshots are hard on the eye.

Have you searched on the web for "EC.ARPT" and "EC.RTC"?

RTC must be real time clock - so likely to be timer.
ARPT likely Airport, so Wifi activity. This can be due to how router maintains wifi connections.

Sonoma seems to have made undocumented (is any change documented by Apple?) changes to sleep. Some sleep parameters no longer show in pmset -g. I don't know if they just hidden or have they been removed.
