Hi you all,
I would like to keep the macbook runing when the display is closed. why ?
I want to have it downloading , updating and connected to the msn messenger when i am not home and prefer the screen to be closed (cats dogs dust...)
any idea how to make it not go to sleep when i shut the display ???? or maybe keep airport on in sleep mode ?
Thanks

AFAIK there is not a way there may be a hack but I wouldn't do that. In clamshell mode (connected to an external display) you can do this.

You can use one of several programs that do this... here's one:

I think that one (Sleepless) is probably best in your case, because it has a little pop-up palette to control this function. The danger with using this kind of software is that you will forget to turn it off and start carrying your notebook around in your bag closed and awake. That's not a good idea.
