I'm not sure if im slightly delirious, but dont alot of people complain about not being able to sleep the iMacs display without sending the iMac to sleep? I was just playing around with hot corners, and you can set one to sleep the display...Feel free to tell me if im an idiot haha...

That's true, you can also press Ctrl+Shift+Eject in Leopard (don't know if that works in Tiger). :)

Yeah but people complained about the 1 minute wait time. There are alot of apps available to instantly sleep the displays, but i dont understand whats wrong with the hot corner?

Ah I understand what you mean now. No, the hot corners are absolutely fine!

Or you may check out Dockables. They provide a dock icon for sleep display as well. It's fantastic.

My problem..

I found out the corner-screensaver thing, but not the sleep option. I'll have to try that. My main problem before was that my 2 (lucky to make it to 3 at this rate) year old decides to stop by my office upstairs and bang away on the keyboard. I have a folder with 'restored' stuff I have no idea where it came from :eek::confused:, and one time I came back with about 20 search windows cascaded all over my desktop..:mad: Future hax0r in the making, maybe, but not on my new iMac!! :)

I assume you mean the "Recovered Items" folder in the trash. That's normal after you restart the computer. It's just temporary files and various junk that you can safely trash.

Why don't you just set the thing to password when it's in a screensaver mode?
