Any suggestions? I'm looking for a sleeve that will fit into my Targus notebook backpack. I like the semi-hard Booq sleeve, but my Powerbook Booq Vyper doesn't fit the MBP. The MBP equivalent won't be available for at least 3 weeks.

Sleevz by Radtech.us

I bought a real light & thin sleeve by a company advertising in MacWorld mag called Radtech @ www.radtech.us The Sleevz product is real thin but soft and fits like a glove. It feels like a soft suede but they call it some hi tech microfiber. It won't save your MacBook Pro from bumps but is perfect to prevent fingerprints and scratches which is what I wanted it for. I use it in conjunction with a secondary back back.

What size did you get because they dont have a mbpro size yet?

I bought the shinza. Looks great and it looks durable and protective (more so than those tucano neoprene sleeves).
Please let us know how it is after you get it. I'm thinking of getting a Timbuk2 Ace Day backpack once the 12/13" notebook is announced and was considering the Shinza sleeve to go with it.

i got the macbook pro sized "gilbert grape" foofbag from www.foofbag.com

Actually, the foofbag looks cool, but not protective enough for what I want. I didn't look at it too close, but the cost is also a little high ($36 or $42 plus s/h from Australia). Also, no black case (to match my black Targus Notebook Backpack).

The reason I want a semi-hard case is because I've seen too many 15" Powerbooks with dents on the underside caused by one-handed lifting. My Booq Vyper made one-handed lifting worry-free and it looks like the Shinza sleeve will do the same.

The incase neoprene sleeve that they sell in some Apple Stores works well with the MBP. I can't find a link to it online, though.

Got mine online from Tom Binh for my MacBook Pro. Bought the Smart Alec bag and Monolith sleeve. Both the bag and sleeve were designed for the MBP. Perfect fit. Cost is a wee high, but why not the best for the best?

they are handmade, and look cool. i already have a messenger bag, so i just needed something to put it in, to put it in my messenger bag

I just bought the Incase neoprene sleeve for MBP (yes, they have a MBP specific size now) from the Apple store online and am looking forward to getting it. I have used Incase Sleeves before on an iBook and IMO they are the best. And only $29!

As far as I can tell, it looks like a generic sleeve that a MBP will fit into (i.e., it's not fitted specifically for a MBP). Also, it's an ugly (imo) green.

Try holding your MBP with one hand. Even with a neoprene sleeve, it feels like you're damaging the aluminum case.

It looks slightly larger than the 15" PB one... time will tell. Hopefully mine will ship today so I can post a review. As for damaging the case: What do you mean?

Does anyone else think that a neoprene case will protect a laptop more than the Booq Viper. My dad had his 12" PB in a Vyper case and and now has a nasty dent in the corner and a delamination of metal around the disk drive.

the Booq case feels just like cardboard. I love the look just not the protection.
