Slide Over Question

re: iOS 9 Public Beta 1, the first time I use the slide over feature I get a listing of apps to choose from to be the app to slide over. But once selected, I just get that app when I slide over all the time without getting a list to choose from. UNLESS, the main app is the app that was sliding over, and in that case I get the list of apps again, but then the newly chosen slide over app keeps coming up all the time.

How can you just get the menu/list of apps all the time to choose the slide over app?

If you have apps open in the multitasking switcher, it won't give you the list. You can get the list at any time by swiping from the top of the slide over app downward.
