Slide to Update Problem

I recently ran into a Slide to Update problem wherein the phone got stuck on the “Slide to Update” screen. Rebooting the system did not help and this is not the first time I've seen this happen. Has anyone else experienced such a problem? What did you do to fix it?

No. iOS shows this after an update sometimes and goes through some of the setup questions like your Apple ID password and location.

Generally, Apple will erase device and restore. Backup first.
