Slider not changing

Hey guys, Im new here and my only problem im experiencing with my iPhone 4 is through Cydia i cannot get my slider to change...i have downloaded many different ones and themes that are suppose to have a changed slider but for some reason when i go to Winterboard to change it, it never works...any ideas...thanks

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the packages your are trying to use have not been updated for 4.0.

The location of the slider images in the phone changed with 4.0 so unless the themes are updated they won't work. You can change them yourself if you're familiar with the internal file system of the iphone.

ok...i was kinda thinking that, however, is there a way to check and see if the package has been recently updated or no? Thanks for the quick responses!
